Hi y'all
So way later than I had intended, I'm finally updating my blog post. Even now, it won't be as elaborate because I'm still busy and I've forgotten most things (oops).
The two main things that happened - and I will thus write about - are Thanksgiving and the very first time I went to the hockey game.
First, Thanksgiving. It honestly wasn't as big as I had expected. My host brother and sister (the biological children of my host parents) had come over for the extended weekend, but aside from them, there weren't any extra people. We did have to get up at 8 a.m. on the day of Thanksgiving to already start with the preparations of the dinner. That dinner consisted of a massive turkey that got filled with stuffing (which mostly consisted of bread and spices), mashed potatoes with something I forgot, and a bread-like thing they call soup biscuits. Something else I forgot was asking for the recipe, BUT it will be made again for Christmas, so perhaps I'll be able to share it then. Even though we had to get up early, it turned out to be a nice day.
Then, the hockey game. I'm not one hundred percent sure why we went the day we went, probably just because it was a day we all could go. Though it was interesting to see how it went, it wasn't really as entertaining after the hit 'n pass race. The local team - which is called the Huskies - did win with an impressive 7-1. So all by all, I did have a fun time as I also ran into some people I knew (you seriously can't go anywhere in this town without seeing at least one familiar face).
Aside from those two things, I pretty much forgot what else happened. I honestly don't think any mention-worthy events took place though.
As for upcoming updates; as has already been proven, my life is more than busy right now. Aside from the endless schoolwork, I have some activities planned to do with friends, and I'm helping in a show that's currently running in the local theater. (I get to illuminate the main characters with the spotlight.) So I'm afraid weekly updates will no longer be possible. It's probably going to become bi-weekly updates or monthly recaps, whichever turns out to be more convenient.
