Hey y'all!
Today was a good day. I guess it probably helped that I slept pretty well, even though I still very much had the feeling I was on a plane. Nonetheless, I think I slept 9 to 9 and a half hours. What also helps is that the 12 Flemish people that are here form a very fun group. I'm genuinely very happy with the folks that came along.
After breakfast, we took the bus to downtown Toronto, where we first visited some parks. After that we went to a place where there was a whole underground maze, that had been constructed so people don't have to go outside when it's freezing.
Then, we went to the CN tower, where we took the elevator to about halfway up. The view there was absolutly phenomenal. I never felt so small and big and the same time. Cause down on the streets, the buildings were HUGE, but up there they seemed almost insignificant.
Afterwards we went to a cozy inside market - of which I forgot the name - where we had lunch. I ate sushi, but also tried some of the chinese that others had.
Next, we continued the tour in the bus, but stopped in Kingston. Then we moved on to yet another mall and after that the restaurant where we had dinner, which was a cheeseburger for me.
To kinda conclude the blogpost, I wanna say some feelings that I had upon arriving here in Toronto, both yesterday in the airplane, and today with the bustour.
My first impression when the plane was flying over Canada, was that it looked a lot like Europe, but then bigger. And sqaured. When in downtown Toronto today, I mostly felt very small. The building were gynourmous. There were some old building that would be very big if they stood in europe, but here they were puny compared to the iron giants that rose up behind them.
My apologies for the incoherence of this post, I'm still trying to figure out how to properly write blogs.
Anyways, thanks for reading, and I'll see you on the next one.
Happy regards, Cupcake
