Car Go Vroom

Hey y'all!

So past week there were some interesting events. The in my opion best one was yesterdayevening, but I'll work chronologically.

In the first part of the week nothing unusual happend. It was actually only friday and saturday that we did 'remarkable' things.

On friday the first really fun things that happened was during Stagecraft. We were put in groups and had to make a horrible infomercial about certain safety rules. It became free comedy as some people over-acted and others under-acted. After school me and my host-sorta-sisters went to walmart and on the way there we saw some deer that were literally accros the street. After that, it all became a little less fun as I was hungry, tired, had a terrible experience with customer service and then we still had to walk 45 minutes back home.

Saturday however was a day that was fun from the beginning to the end. We started our day by going to the farmer's market, to which we were invited by a friend form school who happens to be local. We were with five in total (my host-sorta-sisters, my friend from Belgium, the local friend and me) and hanged around a bit, till towards noon when we headed to a sushi restaurant. There, we had some really delicous sushi and noodles. After that the Belgium friend went home as she was tired while we went bowling. On the way to there we stopped by a pet store where I held a snake. The bowling ally itself was a very retro-style place as it had been around for apparently 45-50 years and hadn't changed since. After that we all went home.

In the evening however, we all gathered once again to go to a hit n' pass race. It's basically a race where cars have to complete a certain amount of laps while trying not to catch on fire or anything. The track they're racing on is bascially dirt (so it gets muddy when it rains), which is good cause the amount of burst tyres the cars kept going with was astounding. The cars themselves weren't exactly in splendid state either, as they were from a junkyard and just patched-up enough that they drove without falling apart (though that was doubtable sometimes). That combined with the rule that a car had to bump into the one in front of them before passing, made it that more often then not car parts were flying around. One time - even though we were at a reasonably safe distance behind a fence - a piece of tire even hit one of my friends in the head (she was fine). It was the most random and impuslive thing I've ever done but absolutly amazing - the experience & the race, not my friend getting hit in the head.

To finish of, here's some requested information. My lunch at school is food that I bring from home, which is usually a bagel with cheese, a piece of fruit and a granola-wannabe-bar (they're tasty though).

Stay water, drink hydrated and don't get hit by pieces of tire.

Happy regards, Cupcake
